I practiced law for nearly 40 years in downtown Kansas City and have a broad diversity of experience. The common thread of trial work ties this experience together. I have tried over 75 jury cases to conclusion. I have disposed of hundreds, if not thousands, of cases by settlement. All of that experience is valuable to you because it brings with it the good judgment that helps us make the right decisions in your matter.
My resume is posted at Lawyers.com. I invite you to review it. Please review some highlights of my long experience as a lawyer:
-
Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial advocate. That certification requires that you demonstrate a certain level of experience and take a day-long exam. To maintain that certification, one has to re-certify every 5 years. I have been certified since 1990 and last re-certified in 2005.
- An AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the largest lawyer rating organization in the United States. The A represents quality, A being the highest. The V represents ethicality, and, once again is the highest rating available. The rating is assigned by an anonymous poll of other lawyers. I have been AV rated for over 20 years.
- Appointed a Super Lawyer by Kansas and Missouri Super Lawyers, a private rating organization, for 2006, 2007 and 2008. The appointment is the result of polling of 23,000 lawyers in both states.
- Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the MultiMillion Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership is restricted to lawyers who have achieved Million and MultiMillion dollar verdicts or settlements for their clients.
That experience and ability goes to work for you the moment you entrust your matter to me. I look forward to meeting you in person or by telephone.
